January Board Meeting - 2011-01-17
Hello,Our first board meeting went very well. It appears that we have a very energetic group of people that will work hard to make our Association proud . Our first event of the year will be the fashion show that is scheduled for February 25, 2011. It will take place at the " Maison & Jardin "restaurant in Altamonte. The Collection this year will be by Peter Morales and the charity will be " Covenant House Florida". The gifts will be dedicated to newborns that require assistance.. The invitations will be arriving by mail soon.
During our meeting Jeanne Herrera , Destiny Perez -Izquierdo and Gloria Neghme volunteered to coordinate the yearly Picnic event that take's place in April . If any members have any suggestions or questions feel free to contact us ., Also, during our meeting Dr. Thomas Segarra and his wife were honored for their service for the year 2010 .This is also the time of the year when we are asked to remind you of the membership fees that are due on or before January 31. (expect a statement in the mail in the near future).
While only on the job for 2 weeks I want to thank all of those who have cooperated to make me feel comfortable in this new position . Most of all Dr. Miguel Lugo and his wife Lynette who have assisted Glennys and me in getting up to speed with many of the small details that this job entails. We are to continue to rely on their experience and of all others who are dedicated to make our Association successful
